Ledger Live is the official application that connects with your Ledger hardware wallet. It keeps your private keys offline while letting you view balances, send and receive funds, install currency apps, and access partner services from one secure interface.

Get Ledger Live from the official Ledger site. Desktop versions are available for Windows, macOS and Linux; mobile apps are available on iOS and Android. Make sure your computer or phone meets the minimum system requirements before installing.
Step-by-step install (desktop)
- Visit the official Ledger Live download page and choose your OS.
- Download the installer and run it (Windows: .exe; macOS: .dmg; Linux: AppImage or package).
- Open Ledger Live and follow the first-time setup wizard: choose “Set up as new device” or “Restore device” as needed.
- Connect your Ledger device with the official cable, follow on-device prompts to set your PIN and write down your recovery phrase if initializing a new device.
- Install apps for the cryptocurrencies you want to manage and add accounts inside Ledger Live.
Mobile install
Install Ledger Live from the App Store or Google Play, then pair your Ledger device using USB or Bluetooth (Nano X). Use the mobile app to view and manage accounts on the go.
Pro tip: Keep Ledger Live up to date — the app notifies you when updates are available and offers an in-app update process.
Security alert: Only download Ledger Live from the official ledger.com site. Fake or modified installers have been used to steal recovery phrases. Ledger will never ask for your recovery phrase; if prompted, disconnect immediately.
